Yo Ho Ho, And A Bottle of Rum | Harrogate Commercial Photographer

The Caribbean, and particularly the Bahamas, has a long history with rum & pirates. While there aren’t a lot of pirates left to photograph, I jumped at the chance when approached by John Watling’s, a new rum distillery in Nassau, to work with them on some commercial product photography and promotional photography of their new premises.

The company has fully restored the famous and historic Buena Vista Estate, and made a couple of additions – one being a full rum distillery for their range of high end rums launched this month. (you can visit them on facebook here)

The first shoot put my new studio to the test, photographing their first two products, a pale rum, and an amber rum, while the second shoot documented the progress on the Buena Vista Estate, built in 1789, and restored to its former glory by the distillery.
